Coloured dragonflies

A stunning wildlife photograph of a Crimson Marsh Glider (Trithemis aurora) — one of India's most spectacularly coloured dragonflies — perched on a pale dry grass seed head over a pond. The male's entire body blazes in vivid crimson and magenta, from its deep red compound eyes to its bright pink-red abdomen, while its four wings carry a warm reddish-amber tint at the base that fades to translucent with fine red venation visible throughout.
